It's important to me now if my wife takes my surname. My ex wanted to keep her name, but she treated me with such disrespect & abuse over the years. Then she cheated. So in the future I'd want that.

This one couple I know hyphenated their name and took each other's. I think that'd be neat, and more fitting because it is a physical way of showing the reciprocity marriage should have. (I'm a dude btw)
