The best career advice I was ever given is “do something you like, because then that way you’ll always be good at it”. I fucking hate my job which probably explains all of the drinking.

From:
Fort Lauderdale, Florida, US

Sometimes things just fall into your lap.

2
My career found me.

My advice? Find something you're good at. Doing something you're good at is the best thing you can do for yourself.

From:
Vancouver

To each their own.

3
Some advice to young people: do not get crazy tattoos or piercings and gages if you want to have a professional career. I know it is wrong but you could be the best in your field and businesses still will not hire you because you look unprofessional.

From:
Sparkle

Security comes first.

4
Best advice I ever got was that when it comes to choose between a man and a career just remember a career will never roll over one day and say it doesn't love you anymore.

From:
Ohio

It's not for everyone.

5
Best advice for those going to cosmetology school:

Choose a different career

From:
Fort Riley, Kansas, US

Keep your identity.

6
Best advice I could give anyone: Mold your career around your life and not your life around your career. Your career doesn't define you and it'll engulf you if you aren't careful. I treat work like a hobby.
