Sometimes mothers and fathers have to tell little lies here and there to protect their kids, their reputations and their sanity. These parents share the lies they have told their kids, with their kids best interest in mind. These confessions will remind you that we're all humans! Sometimes we need to lie to keep our sanity or a straight face.

Somethings are better left unsaid...

I was a teen mom. My daughter asked “when she was made”. I lied and said I didn’t know. I only slept with him twice, the second time was not consensual. I never want her to know that detail.

Pretty genius!

After putting new tires on his car, I told my son his speedometer now reads 5 mph slower than he is actually going. Don't want him speeding!!

Sometimes you just need to hoard the candy for yourself, mama!

So I lied to my daughter saying she has cavities just to eat majority of her candy.

Saving her from a zombie mom!

I lied to my daughter today. I changed the time on the clocks and told her it's bedtime already. I'm so tired.

What a shame.

I lied and told my daughter her Paternal Grandmother died.
I hate her for refusing to acknowledge my daughter's existence. She lives in Alaska...
My daughter is her first born grandchild.

My daughter says she picks her boogers and eats them. I told her I never do that. I lied.
