My mother in law wanted me to wear a wedding dress with a turtleneck and sleeves so it wouldn't show my tattoos on my wedding day. (I didn't) but I now wear a tank top every time she comes over.

My mother had a copy of my wedding photos edited so you couldn't see any of the tattoos my husband and I have.... I don't know what to say or think.

I went shopping for my wedding dress today. I tried one on that I really liked, the woman that worked there told me I shouldn't get it, "my tattoos ruin the elegance of the dress"
So I bought it!

It is worrying that when I went wedding dress shopping and mentioned I liked my body the way it was, the consultant said I was the only girl she'd heard say that in ten years. Girls you are beautiful, don't compare yourselves, be free.

My mum was helping me shop for a wedding dress and said if you chose to lose some weight we could get this one.
Why can't we shop for the body I have mum?

I can't invite some of my family to my wedding because they don't approve of tattoos on women.
I'm a female and have 6 tattoos. I wish they could see them as art like I do.
