The content below was sourced from real posts on the Whisper app, the largest online community where people anonymously share real thoughts and feelings. Join the community to continue the conversation today. Seasonal affective disorder (SAD) is a disorder where depression occurs around the same time every year. For many people, this is most common during the winter where it is cold and dark. Alternatively, plenty of people get this in the summer or other seasons of the year. These confessions are from people who suffer from SAD. Their stories may educate or help you with your own seasonal affective depression or with a loved one who has it.

Sometimes, it can really ruin your world.

Seasonal affective disorder is going to flunk me out of college... I’m terrified, but I don’t have insurance. I can’t get help for this. I tried SSRI's, but they give me seizures.. Nothing helps and I am so scared.
